How to take care of your jewels

Taking care of metal :

Like all noble metals silver and gold require that you should take some precautions for them to stay as shinny as they were the first day.
The best way to clean gold and silver is to wear your jewels as often as possible and to keep them on when you wash yourself, thus washing them too.
Gold requires less cleansing because it naturally oxidizes very little.

You must at all costs avoid your jewels being in contact with products such as iodine tincture, mercury, all abrasive products as well as solvents or thinners. Silver must not be in contact with chlorinated products.

Taking care of stones and ceramics

The care that must be given to stones and ceramics is just about identical to that that is best for silver. In order not to alter the lustre or the colours of the stones, they must not only be kept away from abrasive and tinting products but they must also be kept away from perfume. You should therefore scent yourself before putting on your jewels.

In a general way, we advise you to clean your jewels using and old toothbrush boiling water and soapy water ( the best way being to use a ammoniated product intended for floor cleaning) or toothpaste and then to wipe your jewels with a soft rag. In order not to scratch or damage your jewels when undertaking do it yourself activities or doing intensive sports, you should put away your jewels before starting any of the above.

Theses pieces of advice should allow you to keep your jewels bright and shinny for a long time.

In general :

We advise you to clean your jewels using an old toothbrush, with ebullient and soapy water (best being an ammoniated product to clean the ground) or toothpaste and to carefully wipe your jewels with a soft rag. In order to avoid striping your ceramics and damaging your jewels, we recommend to you to put them away before starting some do-it-yourself or making an intense sports activity.
